A few months ago I made a video where I, Ian, was pretending to call the imaginary “official grammarian” of Video Log Spectacular, Dr. Felix Umber?  Well, whether or not you do, I was just trying to come up with a dry-sounding, scholarly name off the top of my head and I picked Felix and then just filled in the last name Umber out of nowhere.

Then last week I watched The Odd Couple on Netflix, and while I’m sure non of you children know what I”m talking about, I assure you it’s a movie with Acadamy Award-winning actors released in 1968, Walter Matthau playing a slob named Oscar, and Jack Lemmon playing a tight-ass named Felix.  Felix Unger.

I haven’t seen The Odd Couple in years.  If you’d asked me to name any of the characters a week before or a week after I made that video I couldn’t have done it.  But the name Felix will apparently forever be engrained in my head next to the sound and cadence of the word ‘Unger.’

My question to you, consortium, is what overarching meaning can we take from this?  Is there any such thing as an original thought?  Or, as I suspect, does this actually mean nothing, it’s just a trip, chocolate chip?
